Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Suntegrity products, orders, and more.

Our Products & Ingredients ▶
Do Suntegrity sunscreens provide both UVA and UVB protection? +

Yes! All Suntegrity sunscreens provide Broad Spectrum SPF protection, meaning they help filter both UVA rays (associated with skin aging) and UVB rays (associated with sunburn). When used as directed with other sun protection measures, Broad Spectrum sunscreens with SPF 15 or higher help decrease the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun.

What makes Suntegrity’s sunscreens special? +

We use high levels of non-nano zinc oxide (the same gentle mineral ingredient found in calamine lotion and baby diaper rash cream) or non-nano zinc oxide combined with titanium dioxide. Zinc oxide & titanium dioxide are the only two sunscreen active ingredients generally recognized as safe and effective (GRASE) by the FDA under OTC Monograph M020, and zinc oxide is well-suited for sensitive skin. Our zinc-only formulations use 15–22% zinc oxide concentration to achieve Broad Spectrum SPF 30 protection. Because our zinc oxide is uncoated, many customers find our sunscreens feel soothing and comfortable on their skin.

Are Suntegrity sunscreens suitable for children? +

Yes! Our sunscreens are suitable for use on children over 6 months of age. For babies under 6 months, we recommend consulting a physician before use — and keeping little ones out of direct sunlight is always the best approach.

Are your products cruelty-free and vegan? +

Absolutely. We are both PETA and Leaping Bunny certified — we never test on animals. All of our products are vegan except the Lip & Sport SPF products, which contain organic beeswax. We allow this because we believe supporting organic bee farming helps the environment.

Are your products reef-friendly? +

Our products are free from oxybenzone, octinoxate, octocrylene, parabens, nanoparticles, microplastics, and other ingredients commonly identified as harmful to coral reefs and marine ecosystems. We formulate with reef-conscious ingredient choices and comply with applicable reef protection laws.

Do your products contain common allergens (gluten, soy, fragrance)? +

All products are formulated with gluten-free ingredients, though we can’t guarantee a completely gluten-free manufacturing environment. For soy: Mineral Sun Drops, Impeccable Skin and Self Tanner contain soy; all other products are formulated soy-free. We never use synthetic fragrances — our scented products use essential oils and natural extracts, and we offer unscented options for sensitive skin. We always recommend a patch test if you have sensitivities.

Sun Protection 101 ▶
What does SPF actually mean? +

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) is a measure of how much UVB radiation is filtered by a sunscreen. An SPF 30 sunscreen filters about 97% of UVB rays, while SPF 50 filters about 98%. No sunscreen filters 100% of UV rays, which is why the FDA prohibits the term “sunblock.” Important: SPF measures UVB filtration only — that’s why you want Broad Spectrum protection, which also helps filter UVA rays. Under the FDA’s OTC Monograph M020, only Broad Spectrum sunscreens with SPF 15 or higher may state that they help reduce the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging.

How often should I reapply? +

The FDA recommends reapplying sunscreen at least every two hours, and immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. For water activities, look for our water-resistant products — check the product label for the specific water resistance duration (40 or 80 minutes) as tested per FDA requirements. Remember: reapplying boosts the effectiveness of your existing sunscreen protection.

What is the UV Index, and how should it affect my time in the sun? +

The UV Index is a daily forecast of ultraviolet radiation intensity, measured on a scale from 1 to 11+. It's published by the EPA and the National Weather Service, and you can check it on most weather apps, at weather.gov, or by searching "UV Index" for your zip code.

Here's a quick guide to what the numbers mean:

  • 1–2 (Low): Minimal risk for most people, but sun protection is still a good habit. Wear sunscreen on exposed skin, especially if you'll be outside for extended periods.
  • 3–5 (Moderate): Take precautions. Apply a Broad-Spectrum sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses, and seek shade during midday hours when the sun is strongest.
  • 6–7 (High): Protection is essential. Reduce your time in direct sun between 10am – 4pm and reapply sunscreen at least every two hours or after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
  • 8–10 (Very High): Take extra care. Unprotected skin can be damaged quickly. Wear sun-protective clothing, apply and reapply Broad Spectrum sunscreen generously, and limit direct sun exposure.
  • 11+ (Extreme): The highest risk level. Try to avoid outdoor sun exposure during peak hours. If you must be outside, use all available sun protection measures — sunscreen, clothing, shade, hat, and sunglasses.

Keep in mind that UV rays can be strong even on cloudy or cool days, and they reflect off water, sand, and snow — increasing your exposure. Sunscreen is one important part of sun protection, but it works best alongside shade, protective clothing, and smart timing.

Orders & Payment ▶
Will I receive order confirmation and tracking? +

Yes! You’ll get a confirmation email right after checkout and a second email with tracking info once your order ships. Most orders ship via USPS First Class Mail, though some may be upgraded to USPS Priority, FedEx 2-Day, or UPS Ground at no extra cost.

How do I apply a promo code? +

Enter your code on the Cart page in the Coupon Code field, or during checkout in the Order Summary window. We accept one coupon or promo code per order.

Can I use my FSA/HSA card? +

Yes! We now accept FSA/HSA cards through our partner, Gale Payments Inc. Qualifying primary sunscreens (like our 5-in-1 Tinted Sunscreen) are eligible when you use the Gale FSA/HSA Payment link at checkout. Some products that combine SPF with makeup benefits (like Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation) aren’t eligible under current SIGIS program rules. You will receive a separate receipt from Gale Payments (@withgale.com) for purchases. You have the option to use your FSA card or simply use your own credit card and then submit the qualifying receipt to your program.

How fast will my order arrive? +

Orders generally ship by the next business day from our Las Vegas, NV warehouse. Standard shipping (USPS First Class) takes 3–5 business days within the US, including Puerto Rico. Need it faster? You can upgrade to USPS Priority, UPS Ground, or FedEx Express (2–3 days) at checkout. If you have a tight deadline, please include an order note when placing your order.

Do you ship internationally? +

We currently ship to Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Canada, Malaysia, and Singapore via First Class Postal Service (generally around 10–15 business days). Shipping charges are weight-based and do not include any duties or taxes your country may charge (typically referred to as VAT or GST plus a small fee on the order total). For UK/EU orders or expedited international shipping, email us at info@suntegrityskincare.com with your address and desired items for a custom quote.

What about packaging and extreme weather? +

We ship in recyclable cardboard boxes with biodegradable packing materials (never Styrofoam). During hot or cold weather, you may see silver “cool shield” wrap protecting your products. We recommend setting up delivery notifications so your package doesn’t sit in extreme temperatures.
