What makes these mineral sunscreens?
The active ingredient is non-nano zinc oxide, or zinc oxide with titanium dioxide in the Milky Mineral Sun Serum Spray. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are the only two mineral sunscreen active ingredients the FDA recognizes as generally safe and effective. None of our face sunscreens use chemical UV filters either as active ingredients or as inactive SPF boosters.
Which face sunscreens are tinted?
The 5-in-1 Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer offers sheer coverage while Impeccable Skin offers light-to-medium coverage. Both are available in a range of shades. Can I wear mineral sunscreen under makeup?
Yes. The Moisturizing Face Sunscreen & Primer is made to go on before makeup and gives it a smooth base. The 5-in-1 Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer and Impeccable Skin can replace a separate daily foundation altogether.
Are your face sunscreens suitable for sensitive skin?
Zinc oxide is well suited to sensitive skin, and many customers find our formulas soothing and comfortable. If you have sensitivities, we recommend a patch test before first use.
Which face sunscreens are water-resistant?
Mineral Sun Drops are water-resistant for up to 80 minutes and the Mineral Sport Sun Stick for up to 40 minutes. Whichever you use, reapply at least every two hours and right after swimming, sweating or towel drying.
What does PA++++ mean?
PA is a rating for UVA protection, and PA++++ is the highest level. The 5-in-1 Tinted Sunscreen Moisturizer and Impeccable Skin are both PA++++ rated; the rating comes from ISO 24442 testing.
